I studied law as an adult at the University of Otago while working as a Probation Officer.

 

For the last 30 years I have worked in the legal profession in the Manawatu, the last 20 of those as a partner of the firm WinterWoods Lawyers.

 

Throughout that time I have been extensively involved in the criminal law as defence counsel, taking cases at all levels from JP’s Courts to the Court of Appeal. I have worked in high profile trials with leading criminal lawyers, both as a junior and lead counsel.
